Photography | Genealogy | Financial |The Photography SIG is a forum for members to share new products, experiences, ideas, and problems. It covers any hardware, software or internet resources that relate to doing digital photography; e.g. taking pictures, down loading pictures, scanning pictures, e-mailing pictures, inserting pictures in a website, printing, web albums and organizing pictures. The current Moderator is John Allen. There is a section in the Forum for Photography. It contains useful information and allows you to ask or answer question and post new topics if you are a member.
UPDATED February 6, 2012: Thank you to Barnie Slice for a great presentation this morning, and a beautiful painting done during the meeting. Our next meeting is March 5th, with the Libbey`s sharing their mountain photos. Have a great February. John Allen
The Genealogy SIG objectives are to provide a live forum at which members can share experiences in computer related genealogy research. It is hoped that the scope will include demonstrations of specialized genealogy software, methods of on-line searching and useful on-line sites, and real-life experiences of members in using computer related resources in their research. 'Informality' will be our buzzword; 'sharing' our standard!
Douglas K. Barry is the Webmaster for two free genealogy sites that you might be interested in trying. Both sites help people with genealogical research on the Internet. One makes it easier to search for family trees and the other uses an interactive questioning process to guide people as to where they might find records on the Internet that could further their research. These records could be census records, birth records, death records, directories, obituaries, etc. Below are links to the sites:

The Financial SIG presents various topics of interest to investors such as useful financial websites or explanations of how financial markets operate. This is NOT an investment club; no specific investments are recommended and no investment monies are pooled.
The last two financial SIGS were held on March 28th & April 25th, 2011. It is not clear when the next meeting will be held.
